600 kat back on the road after 15 years off

Hello everyone my name is Bill and I’m back in the saddle after 15+- years of hibernation for me and my 1989 600 Kat. I live in Newark, Ohio and drive a 4x4 Silverado to Westerville everyday 30 miles each way. 15mpg sucks so out comes the kat. I’m looking forward to riding again and meeting you guys around Columbus. The Kat is giving me some fits after sitting so long so I maybe asking for some advise along the way. TIA
Tomorrow is the first day back on the road!!!!!!!!
