Hello everybody,
Ive been reading up here for about a week now, and decided it was time to log in and say thanks for a great site and all the helpfull information on here. Haven't had to ask any questions yet since I know how to use the search option lol. I have a '90 600 that supposedly used to be raced in Ohio against the smaller liquid cooled bikes like the FZR400's, and has had some work done to it by the original owner. It's nothing spectacular, but runs fairly strong for only being a 600. I also have the typical problem with 2nd gear not staying enguaged at anything over about 1/3 throttle, so just skip past it to 3rd like I've read a lot of people here do.The trans problem is really the only complaint I have about my bike after riding it for about 13 years now(I bought it for $1650 in '95). Currently working on repairing some cracks in the plastic(wind blew it off the side stand), and getting it ready for paint, also waiting on a new set of sprockets to come in, should be here sometime Monday. I went 1 tooth smaller than stock up front with the new set, hoping it might help reduce some of the lag I get when skipping 2nd gear. Look forward to sharing ideas, and maybe getting together with some people to ride if anybody on here is near Southern Oregon.
