  • I need some help...

Wow. Hi my name is Chris and I have a 1991 Suzuki Katana 600. It has been laid down by the previous owner but is in decent shape. Ill post pics soon. I am having trouble with the way it runs. It had been sitting for a while with gas still in it and it is giving me fits. It runs awesome when cold then boggs down so i take off the choke and it quits. then when warm it lunges then really boggs then blastoff and i cant hold it. i have tried to adjust the idle but i think im just backin up. Please help if you can and May God Bless you.
Ask me how you can come to know Jesus Christ!!

Welcome to KR! First order would be to get some fresh fuel and a shot of Seafoam or similar detergent through the system. Probably got some varnish buildup in the carbs (you didn't specify how long she sat). Probably best to change the spark plugs once you get some good fuel in there as well.

Welcome to KR!. Sounds like the carbs are gummed up. Seafoam and fresh gas is a good start but depending on how bad they are, you may need to re-build them.

welcome to KR. Like what the others said, seafoam + new gas = better running. If this this equation does not work then you might need to divide by a carb rebuild.

Seafoam is the standard...gumout carb cleaner is ok too. Drain the gas, add new premium gas, change the plugs, then the oil.
