    Hello forum,

I purchased my 1st bike last summer... a 2003 Katana 750. It had 7600 km on it and I did 4000km already! I am from Montreal, Quebec and am itching to get out on the road this year.

I will post some pics of my bike in the coming days... This looks like a great forum for asking questions and getting top notch information...

If someone could tell me how easy it is to do an oil change on my Katana, that would be greatly appreciated...

    Welcome to KR Rob.

Theres a lot of looney other canadians here in the forum, they will pip in soon. As for the oil change, Near the top of your screen, See the word Search? Click it, on the window that drops down. Click on the Google part (in the lower Half) and type in Oil Change. You'll get lots of results there vs the forum search. Which kinda sucks.
If its not broke, Hit it with a bigger hammer and blame it on cheap imports

RIP Dad 3/15/08 Love and miss ya already

You can find pretty much any info that you could possibly want on here that's bike specific by using search.

Welcome bob. I changed the oil in my 2006 750 last night, really. It's easy. I take the bottom fairing off (the manual says to do so) though some people here do not.

                              1. Get the oil filter wrench that slips over the end of the filter
                              2. Get four quarts of oil (the manual specifies it)
                              3. Set it on the center stand
                              4. Remove the bottom fairing (screws on both sides)
                              5. Remove the elliptical shaped tab covering the oil filler hole
and unscrew the filler cap and take it off
                              6. Put a pan under the engine...loosen the filter and remove it
                              7. Remove the drain plug
                              8. Replace the new filter (apply new oil to the gasket on the bottom)(2 turns after making gasket/bike contact)
                              9. Replace the drain plug
10.Put in about 3.4 containers of oil
                              11.Replace the filler cap
                              12.Run it for three minutes
13.Shut it off for one minute
14.Check oil window and add oil if necessary
15.Replace the tab that covers the oil filler hole--replace bottom fairing
16.Fire it up, ride into the sunset, for now you are a man
17.Watch out for those Vespa riders
