  • Dirt Biker turned Katrider, Albuq., NM

    Hi All,

I traded in my '04 RM250 for an '06 Katana 600 and it has been a blast. From steering with the back tire to leaning over the front tire, or sticking out your leg in a corner to sticking out a knee, it is a world of difference. I'm 44, married and have 2 kids so I try not to get to crazy on it but it's hard to stay under the speed limit :,) I like this website and I'll post some bike pic's soon.

    Welcome to KatRiders

Yes, it is a little bit different than dirt But like dirt, a lot of fun. Most dirt bike riders adapt very well to the street.

    Enjoy the ride

Welcome to KR, but I didn't turn in my dirtbike. Kept it to ride still, love single trak. Have a yz250 all setup and a 750 kat. Best of both words.

the only time you stick your leg out on a street bike is when you're stopped in traffic, or you forget to put your kickstand down

Welcome I started my passion on an 1979 Suzuki TS 125 enduro bike and havent looked back since. I wish I still had that thing. Dirtbikes are a great thing to learn the basics on. Welcome to the forum.
