  • Hey

Well let's see here. I'm Steve Kapton, I live in Oswego, IL outside of Chicago. I own a 1999 Black Katana 600 which I bought in July. Now it's winter and I need to keep her running a bit just so she don't get too jet lagged once it gets warm out. Right now she sat for 2 months while I was in the hospital for knee surgery and I can't get her started. It backfires after every attempt at a start and I do think the carbs need to be cleaned if not synchro'd (iread the 101 and have a vague idea thus far) and who else knows. She won't start as of now so any input would be appreciated at this point. I'm looking to have her up and running puuurfectly in the spring. Thanks Guys.

Can't answer your question, but welcome to the forum, Steve! Post the question in the Mechanics 101 area anyway, as some people in-the-know may not see it here.
