just wanted to drop in and say hello=) Me and my wife are new to bikes, so we are doing some research on safety and such. Just happened to stumble across these forums and ya all seem pretty nice. Im getting a 2000 kat 600, shes looking at the blast or a maybe a ninja500. just something for us to ride for a while til we get some legs under us.

welcome, fort lauderdale here...why dont you buy a katana first and let her test drive it and then if she decides, buy the ninja, i think she'll be happier with the katana though....
