  • New rider in Montana

    Hello all.

I'm a beginner rider, found this forum and thought it looked like an awesome place to look for info. I just bought my first bike ever, a 2000 katana 600. Got it at a REALLY good price, a friend of mine whose been riding forever looked at it and tested it out and said it checks out, so I'm really excited to start riding. I'm enrolled in the local MSF basicrider course this weekend, then I'll be riding non-stop probably for a while. I'm 24, and just out of the army, so i'm loving the civilian life so far.

    Welcome to KatRiders mr_finch.
Congrats on the new ride. Along with the MSF course I would recomend that you buy some good riding gear to go with it if you have not already.

Welcome from Seattle and congrats on the new Kat, you'll love it. I too am a new rider. I finished my MSF course about a month ago and bought my first bike, a 2000 Kat 750, about 2 weeks ago. It's a blast and I know you have a great time. This is a great forum to learn all about your bike.
