  • New K-member in California...

just want to say hello. I just bought a 94 Kat 600 for my girlfriend. I do have a 'dead horse' question so bare with me. I want to know where I can purchase lowering links for a pre-98 Kat. My girlfriend is short and we would like to lower the bike about 2 inches...and yes, I've spent about 2 hours searching this site and the web already but can't locate any yet.

Worst comes to worst, I'll probably have to raise the forks, shave the seat and get a lower profile set of tires. Any ideas on how far I can raise the forks safely on a 94 Kat 600?

    TIA!

                        Shave the seat.

Get lower profile tires (if you still have stock rims, go with 150/60/17 and 120/60/17 for rear and front respectively)

                        Get ne-oulie's dogbones

If she can get the balls of her feet down, you're good. She just has to be careful in choices (for instance, parking where she would not have to back up with a slight incline)
