  • New Kat rider

Hi Guys justed traded in my Ninja 500 for a 05 600 Katana. Stilling waiting to get it later this week. How much difference will I see in power? What do you aversge for MPG. I know it won't be 50mpg like the ninja. Will the Katana pull the front wheel off the ground without the help of the clutch?

Welcome to KR. Yes you will see a noticable difference in power. The Kat has good power throught out the RPM range. The MPG depends on what you do to the bike after you get it. I can only go 100 miles on a tank since mine has been rejetted with a full system on it. So it will all depend.
Will it wheelie with out the clutch yes but if you come down hard on the forks you will bust your fork seals. The Kat is not made to do that. It will do it though.

Once again Welcome to KR and Enjoy the Ride.
