      That trip report has special significance to me since I have the same year/same bike.
      Plus, I have been very busy replacing parts on it for a long trip next week.Today, replaced rear pads and put on upper/lower vinyl bras, tank bra and tank bag, will replace chain and sprockets this weekend.
      However, I really don't want to eat it like that guy did!

        bump for a good read. Def wondering when this trip took place. I guess early 90's just from the pics. He was doing 80 in a 25!!! Proabably would have went to jail for that one!

          The dude was moving fast alright. You know it had to have been long enough ago that radar detectors were worth having. Between laser and instant-on they're not much use anymore.
