  • Saddle bags that also accommodates passengers?

Im looking for my first set of bags but most of the saddle bags I see cover the passenger pegs.
Does anyone know of or have any experience with saddle bags that allow passengers to ride along?

On a side note; the only bags I saw that didnt cover the pegs or look uncomfortably close were considered "mini" or "compact" and Im in need of something a little more full sized but not to the extent of hard shell luggage.

    \\Thanks

I ride with pillion and my saddle bags quite often, and they're about 65 litre space between them. Mine are a several years old now, but if you do a search for Oxford Sport pannies 65 litre you should find the latest equivalent.
    Absolutely cracking bit of kit.

On a Kat most of the sport bags will work and still leave room for a passenger. However, there really isn't MUCH room for the passenger to get to the pegs so riding aggressive curves like... oh... say... hitting the Dragon hard can be difficult for you and your passenger. If you put them on the bike with the narrow end on the peg side it leaves more leg room in the back.
Get over yourself. For me to think you are an idiot, I would first need to think of you.

I just put my Nelson Riggs on backwards when we're two up. The slope creates more room.

My Joe Rocket expandable bags work fine with passenger, slide them back so they are almost flush with the rear.

                          Update:
                          I ended up buying two things;
The Joe Rocket Manta Tail Bag
                          Cortech Sport tri-bag saddlebags

Here are the pics of both:

I bought the tail bag knowing it was small. I wanted something that wouldnt get in my way and take away from the kats original profile.
The manta does everything I need it to; carry my lunch to work and the occasional bottle or knickknack.
One thing to note about the bag though. The straps were an issue as they were rather short and didnt reach around the seat the entire way. It was an easy fix. I took 2 strips of velcro and just extended both straps.

I ended up with the cortech bags because they didnt block the passenger pegs and they are expandable. I went into my local suzuki store looking for some Nelson Rigg CL-950s but the owner persuaded me to go the cortech route. Im happy I did, I really like the features and the fitment on my bike.

Here are the links for both

With their compact size and main compartment expansion feature, the Cortech Sport Saddlebags are an excellent choice. When you have to choose sport or mini...
