  • cant decide on a tank bag!?

well i have my choices limited down to 2! to bad no one sells them locally ..

    1. Rapid Transit Stack LT

29 liters. modular (one for intown and one for trips), camel Back ready! 15.8”(L) x 11”(W) x 10.2”(D)

    2. Rapid Transit THE STACK

    64 liters!. modular, no camel back. LARGER! 18.5”(L) x 15.4”(W) x 13.8”(D)

which one would you buy, and would option 2. be TOO large (wider and longer)?

SIDE NOTE!: what do you recommend for saddle bags around the same price that look good? does anyone have any pix?

This is what I have been using for the past year and I love it.

this is what I use http://www.newenough.com/parts/lugga..._tank_bag.html
I havent ever had a problem with it being too small. Then again I ride from home to work and back and thats pretty much it. If I do get a bug up my a$$ to ride the 4 hours to my dad's house, it still holds enough and if I need some extra stuff I throw it in a back pack or strap it to the pax seat.

well i went to a local dealership who had THE STACK option 2.

it was HUGE!! it was the size of a cooler! so i went ahead and ordered the STACK LT! its modular size it smaller and 30 litters on the tank for a road trip should be plenty. thats the same size of the northface, and i traveled Europe for 2 weeks with just that.

i also bought the fieldsheet compact saddlebags. they are 20 liters a side.
so all in all i will have 60 liters (more if i cram or use space saver) of space. without a tail bag

            im happy!

you will all get a picture when it arrives!

Bigger isn't always better. , there is no point in getting a big bag and then not being able to fill it full because you cant see the insrument cluster. I have seen that before on other bikes.
              Always take the scenic route

Can't wait to see a picture of it on your bike. I'm torn between this one and the Rapid Transit Recon 19.

I've got the RT Recon 19 on my Bandit and love it. It's basically the top portion of the The Stack LT.

I have used one of these in the past http://gpbikes.com/index.php?main_pa...roducts_id=276 it is much smaller than what you are looking at but I can't imagine having a bag that big right in front of me. when I carried more things I used this as a pillion bag http://gpbikes.com/index.php?main_pa...roducts_id=524 expands out to 16.5" high and carries a load

in the end i ended up with givi sidebags see pic in my garage.

Have any shots with in on your old Kat?

Nope. I had a Nelson Rigg one on my Kat. I got the RT because the straps from the old one would have been a PITA to run on the Bandit.

Here it is on the Bandit. The Bandit's tank doesn't feel longer than the Kat's, just wider. Ignore the dork standing next to the bike...

Kinda hard to tell from the pic, but I can fit my Nikon D90 with battery grip and 18-200mm lens attached in that bag along with my raingear, a hat, my iPod, cellphone, spare batteries and my GPS, with room to spare.

Here's the bag I have, but I only use one of the 2 at a time, or it's way to big to see over comfortably. The large bottom bag makes a nice tank pillow/pad to lay against on long trips. I paid $110 for mine at Motorcycle Superstore on sale last year. http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/cata...-p-145_31.html
