my only 3beefs with the bike was when I lost a cylinder while on a road trip.
before the trip I had lubed and adjusted all my cables, including the choke cable. I adjusted the free play and forgot to check the action. after 300km with the choke being on part way I fouled a plug. I didnt realize it was this at the time. I stopped and got carb cleaner and compression tester etc then rode another 30 minutes to our camp site. I discovered it was choke cable long after I had the bike stripped apart in my tent during a rain storm, cleaning carbs and checking compression. lucky for me I always have a couple spare plugs in my tol kit.
#2 was a short in the wiring by the rear brake. The harness wore on the frame and was shorting out.
#3 just this past fall I lost all power to my headlight from a corroded connection. as always my issues have all been in the rain. lol
Ive upgraded a lot of stuff but no breakdowns or major repairs.

dyna tech ignition coils, ngk wires
POR 15 fuel tank sealer (leak around a spot weld for the sending unit)

Nice! I had a similar short, right at the rear brake switch. Kept blowing the fuse, makes me wonder if my brake light was on for a while too cuz the bulb would blow also or just from a surge/short. The 2 wires were exposed right next to each other.94 GSX600F, V&H 4-1 Supersport exhaust

@PhoenixZip I got the same going! Haha I bought mine with 17k on it and dumped it :/ Ended up putting 8k on it over the summer though :3 4 Months of riding god I love that! I paid almost the same you did too. Mines a 94 though.
