    last week my brother had a problem with his GS1100EX
    when hit the strat button the starter wolud run but the engine not
    calle dthe ex-owned he said it was unscrewed nut at the left side of the engine shaft(don`t know how its called in english exactly)
    i thightened the nut and applied alocking agent for unscrewing protection
    here are some pics of the connos,it has some damege
    as far the bike runs but do i have to worry about the same problem to occur again



    what are the other solutions of the problem?

    Air impact the nut back on with RED Loctite on the threads. Ray.

      Looking at your threads, the starter thread looks damaged, you might want to clean it up with a die, that is a b itch if the crank thread strip.

        i used this Bison product

        Metal Lock
        Liquid locking one-part anaerobic adhesive. The adhesive hardens in the absence of air.

        For locking metal bolts, nuts and screws, tap bolts and studs which are to be loosened later on. Bison Lock Bond replaces all types of lock-pins, lock washers, lock clamps, lock nuts and cotter pins.
        Not suitable for use on plastics.

          Red loctite is a permanent lock , usually requires heat to remove in future

          "air impact "- impact gun like used in most garages to change auto tires

            I have NEVER had to use heat on red Loctite on the end of a crank. I use the same air impact I used to install the nut & they come right off. Ray.
