82 Kat questions

Just bought an 82 Kat 1100, I've had an 88 for years but always wanted an older one.

So I've got several questions, is there any info relating engine numbers to size and model of bike? There seems to be to different models of the same size/year bike from what I can see? sd, sx ??

Are original exhausts available, or a good repop item?

Will exhaust header pipes for 88 style kat fit 82 should I wish to make my own system?

Any help is good.

Got the bike now, and realize I'm gonna have to stay aftermarket due to bike mods.
