  • Tail Section Mods

I'm continuing to work on my fighter project and really want to change out the tail section of my 91 Kat Frame... I've seen a few posts throughtout the streetfighter forums, but looking for more.

Anyone willing to post pics of tail swaps they've done or link me to the build? Any advice for a novice? Any straight across bolt matching swaps?

Any and all advice is appreciated

Well, unfortunately since your kat subframe does not bolt on, there will be NO bolt on swaps. Everything is going to involve cutting and welding. You can go one of two ways, cut off the existing subframe and weld on tabs/supports to allow you to bolt on a donor subframe, or you can completely fab up one of your own design.

Appreciate the responses. I guess now I need to figure out what rear end I dig and start the cutting and welding! It's just finally getting so nice here, that I don't want to start a long process, eh!

Not sure about the 600s but my 91' 750 had a bolt on sub frame that was a piece of cake to remove.
