  • My Kat Fighter

Here are some pictures of my 92 Kat 600. I still have some work to do on it, like paint the front wheel and I'll probably put a different tail section on when I get some more money. Later.

Yeah, I thought about that but I figured the looks out weighed the wet back.

                  you're correct

i just carry lightweight waterproofs on my stumpy all the time , walkers shower jacket with hood, i put the hood up then pull my lid over the top, i did 60 miles the other day in pouring rain like that (had leggings as well) and only just got damp ...

you've got more bodywork behind ya than i have so i doubt you'll get too wet

oops no bodywork, ya seat still is longer than mine

no article needed, that's an early kat 2 piece seat ...

looks like he has just taken a hacksaw to the frame just behind the seat catch....

to my eyes everything still mounts as it left the factory except the tail light, which is not difficult to work out for yourself

Nice! Is that new seat support bar just the old one cut and moved? I dig it, im contemplating doing something similar with mine.

Not a fan of the taillight but overall I really like it, and I dont usually like the stumpy seats on most bikes.

The gauges are mounted now, they weren't in the pictures. I'll have to add pictures of how I mounted those, I only have the speedo and tach, no fuel gauge. I also planed to paint the under side of the seat when I recover the seat as it has a rip in it.

The frame mods were easy and simple. I just cut the frame behind the seat front seat mount and cut the supports that mount the rear set pegs just behind the the front peg mounts and rewelded them in place where they looked good.
