I was messing around this weekend and pulled a ton of stuff off my 95 kat. I removed the whole front end and lowered it a inch and a half. thats a honda XR200R headlight (which doesn't do much) and the stock turn signals which i plan to swap for smaller ones. the gauge is wire tied to the clutch cable and ignition tumbler. I had the tach on the other side but it shorted and fried. Who needs um anyways? Is it street fighter worthy?

what do you mean by that? its really not though, i have all the stock parts and only set it up like this because i think all kats in general are hideous. a first bike is a first bike. ghetto is a brand new zx6r that has wire ties holding the plastics together/on.Out there we are all brothers.

I didn't mean to offend you. Dude, it's your bike, not mine, do with it as you please...I too have wire ties on my bike where they should not be, but they are not holding on the speedo. I just went without one...I do have hose clamps holding my headlight mounts on...

oh i see what you mean by the wire ties. bought a new cyclops headlite and man is it bright! fabbed up a coulple of twisted metal brackets to mount the turn signals to and they mount off my lower triple tree bolts. looks sweet for now!Out there we are all brothers.

I have to be honest, I think the headlight/fairing is hideous. Just my opinion though. I like my bike as it is but I seem to get a lot of "Whoa! what happened to your bike?!" comments. If you like it then rock on.Some people carry on
Some just stay right where they are

I noticed the fork tubes raised up in the top clamp.. hows the handling with the dropped front end... and how much did you bring them up??
I have been considering a trial run with bringing them up like that....
My Kat is naked and seems like the front could go down a bit.. seems like there is not enough weight transfer to the front ...it feels twitchy in the corners and with a cross windhttp://www.7thgeardesigns.com
