  • where i started and where i am now

when i got the bike is was mostly in boxes.
i set it all together for the first pic.
i got this bike off craigs list for free after my car was stolen.
the cdi box was fryed because the previous owner did a hack job on the wiring harness.
i got a wiring harness and a cdi box off a katriders member.
i got some pod filters off ebay because the air box was missing.
after i got the bike running i had to make a tail light housing (under the tail) to hold the lights.
once i got it running i had to replace the tires because the rear was dry rotted. i got 2 tires for $106 shipped and new. i have taken the carbs apart 4 time to get them close to where they are suppose to be. i painted the bike with a flat green.
a few more things and i will be done for the summer. my plans are to take it all back apart and rebuild the motor woth weisco pistons and gsxr cams this winter along with porting the head.
thanks for looking and any feed back you have for my project.

Wonder if the repeat carb rebuild it at least partially due to the pods. If you want a factory air box, come to Marietta and get it, free.

i don't know if it would be worth the expense to rebore and rebuild your engine, myself i'd be looking for an engine and parts from a bigger oil cooled sook preferably i'd be looking for an accident damaged breaker to donate all the parts you need and sell off the bits you don't use ....

that is unless you really want the job of rebuilding
                    it ain't broke ....

                    i ain't fixed it enough
