They do fire the motor up. Just need some test equipment to test the burn.

Do what you want, I'm just saying that plastic zip ties in that area will get brittle from the heat.
I appreciate the advice and I must mention that I've experienced cracked zipties in the past. But since then I've changed brands and have yet to see a new failure. Will keep it in mind though.
Jimmie, did you just decide to add them for ¥{£*s and giggles? Let us know how it turns out!
I got a set of four for €20 so it was more of a coincidence than anything else. So far the bike starts and runs up the road just fine. I seriously doubt that it'll give any noticeable performance gain but the serviceability is improved.
Threw some parts together and upped the volume of my 600cc engine to 749cc. 750R cylinder and pistons and a post 750F head on a 1993 600 bottom. Fed by rejetted 36mm 750R carbs. More of a way to make use of some parts than anything else. Though I do like the long stroke 750 better than the short stroke one.
Engine looks kind of funny though, with the three part color scheme. The GSXR cylinder is an odd gray rather than the GSXF black.
The looks of the bike have hardly improved, but the riding position is much better. With the new upper triple I fit a set of slightly more narrow bars, which feels more comfortable.
Some pictures maybe? Should do something about the fairings, but I don't like sanding and all that goes along with painting. Did sand and prime the oil filler lid though..
