So for the headlight attachment you didn't use the old headlight cage? By the way you guys didn't use the stabilizer from the Busa did you? I just finished putting on the GSXR front stabilizer and when I went to put the cage and headlight back on...well there is a bit of a space issue...

      • Did it change the geometry much or handling? I was worried about that and is why we decided (my buddy, a mechanic we know) to use the stabilizer..

        • It does change it a bit but I can run at high speeds without the stabilizer. With the kat headlight bracket you will have to relocate or us a aftermarket stabilizer. The stock busa location hits the back of the headlight, well a oem katana light, on this setup, it might clear!

if you look back toward the front, you will see the lower triple with all stops and stabilizer tabs shaved off!

          • No SS brake lines? Seems like a missing piece.

              • that setup of the brakes makes the katana stop like any SS. Budget was not allowing SS lines to happen tho. I supplied enough parts from my bike anyway

See that's where we ended up doing more work and welding...we created steering stops like the Honda Hurricanes...they have this metal trapezoidal piece of metal welded to the bottom of the steering neck...this will hit the steering stops...we then drilled and tapped a hole where the steering stabilizer connects..we also used a fork clamp for the other end of where the stabilizer connects...I will post pics of this next time I go over to my buddies house, I forgot my camera last time I was there.

Yeah we found out after we did this mod that the stabilizer hit the OEM light that is why we ended up looking into the dual headlight system. As long as the dual is 1inch less width we'll be ok. The other option was to push the OEM light farther out but it would probably look funny...

I think credit needs given were credit is due. Congrats on building one of the best looking pre's I have seen you should be proud of what you have done with it.
