        • That seems to be an insane amount of orange peep in the paint. Did the wrong speed reducer get used?

Very nice job overall on this. I may have to start looking for a Busa front end!

I think he rode too fast home, and it wrinkled the paint

            • paint is from colorite, it isn't the paint, it is the clear coat that gave breeze problems.

Actually, as it turns out, the clear coat was bad. It was either old stock or had come to near freeezing temps. The clear coat burped cloudy a few times on me and then the fact that it wouldn't harden proves that.

However, as Krey said, in a few weeks we'll wet sand and buff it out to finish it off. I'm just glad to see the bike back together and not in my basement any more

Mikey, overall, the bike looks awesome and the dual head lights look great .

                    • thanks guys for your comments

ok after day 1 with the bike, heres the low down with what i need to get working on still.

                      1. Erratic Idle- rode it home with the idle hitting 5-6k when it was at riding temps, made it home and bumped it down to 2k and then shut it off. I went to work about an hour later and the idle was set to low so i had to keep revin' the engine to keep it from dying. Got off of work and turned the idle screw up and let the bike get hot. it was at about 3k so i bumped it down to 1.5-2k. Let it idle for another min or 2. Then went on my way home and by the time i got about 10 miles away i notcied the idle was back up to 3-3.5k so i went to a gas station and kept fiddling with it til i felt it had a good idle. I noticed as I was getting real close to my house it was back up again to 2.5-3k. I pulled it into the garage and turned it down til i got the idle to 1.5-2k and turned it off for the night.

                      2. Leaking petcock- my petcock is leaking alittle bit so it smokes alittle as the gas burns off the hot engine. Do not worry it is not leaking down the side of the fresh paint

                      3. Gauge faces- Some either had the gauges wired lose or wired them to my brake light and turn signals because they only come on with i brake and then they flash with my turn signals. when the bike is just sitting they are on but as soon as you head down the road they turn off.

                      4. Headlight Trim- The trim around one of the headlights has started to come loose so i need to get it trimmed and glued back on.

All and all it runs good and the suspension is literally insane compared to the stock katana setup. Just this minor stuff still to do like the mesh and wet sand and buff. When its all said and done it is exactly how i designed it in my head.
