I've never used colorite, but I'm sure it's nothing Breeze did wrong, I've seen other work of his that was outstanding. I'm pretty sure he used colorite on Kristen's kat and it turned out real nice. Perhaps he got a batch of bad material, or it's just the nature of the colorite products?

          • Not from my experience. The paint was hard in a few hours.

            • well we are going to put the paint work back outside for the day. Going to be in the 80's and sunny so I will let them bake all day and see how it goes. As of 10 pm last night, the stuff was still soft

              • Sounds like not enough hardner...

But then, the longer it takes to cure, the more it flows in.

The more it flows in, the slicker it will look.

                  Color-rite doesn't use measured hardener. It's a pre-mix system.

Add the paint, and the activator... then paint.

                  • After speaking with Breeze on the phone last night and him telling me the problems he had with it while spraying, I am leaning to the conclusion of bad material. I think the clear and or activator were either very old stock, or had gotten very cold to near freezing at one point before it was shipped out.
