  • forks might have an issue

so i was taking off my front wheel so i can put a new tire on. and when i pulled the wheel off i was able to twist the bottom of the forks to get the calipers out of the way, is this normal or do i have a problem?

The lower legs will turn, they are not secured in place. That's part of the reason for the fork brace.

Missing the fork brace maybe? You'll be wanting to get that replaced.

I think I have an original fork brace in my parts stash in the garage. Off an 89 - 750.

Post 600s do not have a fork brace, the 750s might not either.
