  • Is this engine a good buy?

I need a running engine to throw in my '93 Kat600 project, want to find the best deal for under $500. Seller say in the description that they haven't tried to get it running. Is it a bad idea to buy this thing? If so, can someone post a good alternative? I reall would prefer a pre 600 engine since I have carbs and do to want to deal with selling them and buying carbs that match the new engine. Pretty set on a 600 also as this is my first bike and I'm already skeptical of the 600 being more than I can handle

2003 20th Anniversary edition VW GTI-6spd, forged internals, Precision 5558 450whp/400ftlb and counting
2002 VW Jetta-Wifeys car. Stock for now

Stupid price for what it is. Asking way too much.

Read your build thread for more info on this.

IF you're considering dropping $500 on that POS, you might as well spend the cash on your cash rebuilding your engine.

Hahaha! Okay then. Looks like I'm going for the 750 engine that krey linked into build thread. Most likely will be using my pre 600 carbs to get the engine running, then selling them and grabbing some 750 carbs

          Thanks for the advice dudes
