  • wire hell with koso rx-2n install

hey everyone. im new here and new to motorcycles as well. sort of
    i race mx.
    i just bought a 05 katana gxs600f
with no fairings no lights. nothing.
it had a cluster but no mount.
anyway i decided to go with a sort of streetfighter look.
i got the koso rx-2n speedo / tach
and i am in hell trying to wire this thing up.
i cannot find a wiring diagram anywhere that actually has the wires on it i need.
for example theres a freaking pink wire that i have no idea where it goes.
does anyone have any idea what wires do what for the tach for this bike ?
thank you very much in advance

Someone recently posted a link to a thread with a wiring diagram. Have you tried using the search tool yet? (Upper right) the google search works much better FYI. I think there's also something in the wiki.
Good luck and welcome to KR!

            thank you very much.
i was looking for that for weeks.
ok so im pretty shure i got everything wired up correctly.
i have a few other things to figure out.
does anyone know the front wheel circumfrence in (mm) for the 05 katana gsx600f
and does anyone know the fuel resistance ohms.
i need to know what these are to get the gauge working correctly.

IIRC you only have two option for fuel level sender resistance in Koso gauges? I'm almost sure I did set mine to somewhere around 100ohm and it's spot on.
With the wheel I used a lenght of string to measure, but you could probably calculate it given the tire dimensions.

the 05 kats use a speed signal sensor off the front sprocket. front wheel dimension doesn't affect the speed input.

Yeh - but Koso go with hall effect or inductive pick-ups off a wheel. I don't think they are quite "plug and play" to the harness.

Hi. Fuel sender unit gives between 3 ohms and 100 ohms to the fuel gauge.
