  • Exhaust question

    Hello,

There is much talk about how to get a decent performance exhaust upgrade for the pre98 kats.

I have heard the 98+ header fits the pre98 models? Is it a good idea to use this, with a slip on system on a midpipe to acheive the desired 4 into 1 system? I have also heard that the bandit 1200 headers will fit the pre98 model for the same effect... thoughts? experience?

    Thank you,

    N

Why would you go 98+ stock for your pre 98? There are plenty of after market exhausts out there and pretty reasonable, with a much beter sound and performance.

So, maybe I should have been more clear. I've read the thread you are refering to and seek clarification. From that:

          Pre 98 600:

          Yoshi header (nitros222)
          Notes:
          Mod needed to belly pan.

          98+ Yoshi 750
          Notes:
          Same as above

Stock 750 exhaust (waltri/ Cyber poet)
          Notes:
Mod required to clear oil pan. (dent collector or use 98+ pan)

Does the middle one mean I can use the header of a 98+ (600? 750?) with a slip on or bolt on Yoshi can for a pre98 750? 4/2/1? What midpipe would be utilised here?
