Just was looking through the March 2006 Cycle World magazine. I grabbed it to read a test ride of the new Kawasaki 650R Ninja, and there on page 36 is a "quick ride" article on the 750 Katana by Don Cannet. Its a really good writeup too.Reinforces my possible plan of grabbing a new, leftove 2005 Katana at a nearby dealer for $5999.00 plus bs fees. And though I haven't ridden a 750 Kat, I have taken out 3-4 600 Kats I looked at a couple of years ago.One was a beater, so I threw that out.The others were fun.So, I figure the 75o would be that much more fun.Besides, I am buying a bike that can take two-up trips in relative comfort, and still be a sporty machine.
Thanks to Cycle World for writing about a real world roadster that isn't the absolute cutting edge sportsbike, but that is still a great ride for 95% of us.
