    Hi All,

recently passed by bike bike test in the UK and bought a 1998 Katana (quite unique as not many of these were imported from the US to the UK).

being a novice I've already dropped it (at a petrol station as the side stand wasn't down properly when I dismounted, most embarrasing).

I scrached the Katana emblem and have managed to order a replacement from a sukuki dealer but not sure how easy it is to get the old one off and stick on the new one myself or pay the dealer to do it (they want USD 90 bucks).....

    any advice welcome.

    Ian
ps, i've uploaded a pick of the (what was) perfect condition 1998 katana

Is it a sticker or is it a chromed raised lettered badge. If it is the raised chrome as mine is then try nylon thread . Wrap the thread around two fingers and move it back and forth, sawing, between the fairings and the emblem then just remove the adhesive left behind.
