Is it possible to do something like this on a pre 600?

I hated that cyclops weak headlight, you can do what ever you want to, use your mind a tape measure, tools and supplies. Like this. Took some time but, much better and it looks OEM.

Did you fabricate your own bracket for that?

Nope, made the light fit the existing. That was a GSXR light. It was cut apart and remade to fit the shape of the bike.
