Katana 750 vs Yamaha Banshee???

Obviously the Katana wins, and by a lot, in the end.

How about off the line?

Maybe my bike's not tuned right, but my buddy has a slightly modified Banshee (350 2 stroke) and he smoked me off the line; took some distance to overtake him.

Quads get tons of traction off the line, but on pavement usually try to loop over. You probably just need a bit more practice launching the Kat. I used to have a Honda 250R quad that was heavily modded (265cc ported, piped, suspension etc etc) that would keep up with or outrun most 250cc 2 stroke dirt bikes. My 600 kat easily smoked the dirt bikes and a friends banshee on the street, but we always started at a 5-10mph roll.
