  • Gas leak?

Every once and while when I get off my post kat 600 I smell fuel but can't seem to see where it's coming from.
Is there a common place where it might be leaking from?

Mine reeks, but it is fumes from the gas cap...Can find After market for a lot fo bikes, just not the 1100. and the originals are expensive as all hell...

If you really think it is leak, get a good look under the tank and around your carbs. If you do not see any, remove the air box and see if it is wet, you may have float needle leaking ... either way, you do not want to ride a bike with a gas leak...

Check the tank vent is working right and not building up pressure in the tank(it's in the gas cap), check the petock has no leaks, check the fuel lines, check the bottom of the carbs are not wet, check the bottom of the tank is not wet.

If you have a small or slow leak, a hot bike can evaporate the fuel before you find the "wet" spot, and you would smell it. Don't give up just yet, keep looking to make sure that isn't what is going on.
