What do you torque your header bolts down to?

  • What do you torque your header bolts down to?

    I am looking in this manual I have and i cant seem to find the answer... I am not sure if they are reffering to the cylinder head bolts..?at 8.5 tq?

    No, the exhaust ones aren't in the manual. I think Arsenic said to go at 8 ft lbs. I'd wait for him to chip in.

      Yeah, the specs aren't listed. I just went by the general specs for an M8x1.25 bolt. 8 ft/lbs is a little low though. I'd go 15-20 ft/lbs. However, if you do not use high temperature anti seize on them, you don't really have to torque them. They are gonna be stuck on so tight, it won't matter.

        I thought it was 16.5 ft/lbs.
