my husband topped his bike a couple of times ... 300 kph or 186 mph for you american persons
I'M a wuss .. although mine also tops off at the same speed .... I cickened out at 175 .... but have no issues going 140-150 on a regular basis ... yeah yeah ... I'm a ticket waiting to happen ... but hey you only live once !!!
BTW we only do those speeds on a certain strech of road we have up north ... even on a nice sunny summer sunday ... you are lucky if you cross or pass 2 or 3 cars on the 20 miles this road has !!! DOT here spend over 17 millions about 8 years ago to built that road to join 2 big summer resort towns ... but they never built the last 6-7 miles of it ... so nobody use it .... they're being idiots makes us very happy !!

Well, if we are answering seriously now......
On the pre98 Katana 750's, buried the needle (beyond 160), but a legit 150 on GPS. Both did about the same.
On my first GSXR750, about 140 indicated.... it got the wobbles any faster than that.
On the current GSXR1100, about 160ish, maybe a little less (redline in top with the previous owner's horrible short gearing.... 14/50). Haven't tried since I re-geared it. Not really sure I will try it, at least maybe not this year. I'm not sure my preferred top speed testing road is really a good choice for anything over 150. It's just not long enough (about 1.5 miles to accelerate and bring it to a stop).
On the YZF1000, about 110..... and it was the scariest 110 of my life!Trashed suspension, weak brakes, visibly sloppy head bearings...... I must have had a death wish riding that thing at all.
On the XJ650, about 120-125 indicated. Neither it nor I wanted to go any faster than that.Any and all statements by Loudnlow7484 are merely his own opinions, and not necessarily the opinion of Katriders.com.
