most people don't realize that the temp gauge on a car or truck is water temp (coolant) katana's are oil cooled.
You can get a temp gauge but this will not be for coolant temp. They are EGT's
or Exhaust gas temp gauge.
They give you an idea of how lean or rich the engine is running....too lean and the EGT will show cold...to rich and will show hot.
They are also not cheap...just so you know.

It could be done, auto/cycle temp sensors are mostly thermistors and don't know or care what liquid is providing the temps. The only issue I see is finding one with the adjustability for the gauge needed for the kat. Do some google searching and I bet you can find some kind of kit to do it.
*edit* Here is a thread I found with links to the parts you'll need. http://katriders.com/vb/showthread.p...ght=Temp+gauge Use the search my friend.Last edited by 5forty2; 09-15-2011, 03:29 AM.Need those hard to find crush washers for the bottom end of your forks? PM me, i've got plenty

That's less likely a temp issue, and more likely a carb/vacuum/air leak issue.

CP used to offer some oil temp gauges. The challenge will be to find some in our temperature range and weatherproof. I also remember some issue with sending units. At some point he got someone (siemens maybe) to build units to his spec. However now that model number doesn't locate anything publicly.-2000 "750"
