I read a thread today and the guy said that he used screen door mesh instead of the gutter guard. Has anyone else tried this or the plastic mesh? I'm just curious to know how it look and if it will work.

i would not advise it. door screen is plastic and would melt from the engine heat and and sreen would be more restrictive on air flow which wouldn't help the engine stay cool in Texas weather which is hot enough. thats the reason the mesh modd is metal. the metal is more open for airflow."The shortest distance between two points is for people that don't ride!"
