I am 6'5", with 34" inseam.
I had my mind set on Ninja 500 for the last few weeks and tomorrow I was going to pickup my own but just today a friend took me to see some stores with 2nd hand bikes and I saw it - 2000 Katana 750 (or GXR 750 F how it is called here in Europe).
I immediately liked the looks of it it and once I sat on it, I felt very comfortable. It was so much more a bike than spartan EX. The effect was, I cancelled my purchase of EX500.
So now I am browsing ebay and local ads but I wonder if I should go for 750 or maybe 600?
The purpose of the bike:
1. daily commute of 40 miles
2. weekend trips of 400-1000 miles.
It is going to be my first bike, though. I have my license since 2 weeks and have not ridden a bike outside of the course. I am not a retard, though, and can control myself with the throttle.
Every now and then, I would want to put some luggage on the bike, like top box or tank bag, but I read somewhere that with the top box 750 becomes very unstable at speed.
Anyway, any thoughts will be welcomed. Cheers
