    What I call the tank support (I admit to not looking up proper terminology ) is the bar that under the tank that bolts to the frame. It keeps the tank from rocking sideways.

    As for the weight, I recently took the PAIRS system off and used some aluminum to make block off plates, and then put a full SS Hindle exhaust on. It's amazing how light it is. I weighed everything I took off, and everything I put on. I think it was something like 19.7 pounds total.

    Normally that exhaust is way too expensive for me to have considered it, but on ebay, I lucked out and found the entire system for $300. I'm sooooooo happy with it!

        There have been a few threads on here about making CF fairings, although no one has actually done it yet. Judging by the amount of replies and inquiries....I'd say you could recoup your costs easily.
