  • Girlfriend bought a new Ducati

I love my 2005 Katana but now I do not even have the nicest bike in our garage!

She bought a 2011 Monster 696 (ABS) today which I rode home and I gotta tell ya, it is NICE ride. I have ridden two of them, the other had Leo Vince exhaust and while they are physically small for me (6'3" 225lbs) they are a blast to ride and very comfortable.

I thought it was cool that she rode 2-up then I thought it was cool that she took her MSF class and got her License. But now...Well it is not a Kat but I am stoked for her-

Don't let her pick the engagement ring out alone man
Put your size 12 firmly on the floor, make sure you get the prime spot in the garage

ducati's are fine pieces of machinery, the other day when I rode up in the mountains I saw a solid white 1198. I also saw right beside it an aprilla...my god they were nice

The dry clutch idea never made any sence to me for Ducati and Guzzi .
Id stay with a wet clutch anyday for longevity .
Its just my opinion but worth the thought .

what do you want for the 14?

                  ...

I concede that the M696 is primarily a women's bike and designed as an entry level naked bike but I am surprised how much fun it was. I prefer the 848 EVO if I was shopping os a SS 1000.

Nekkid sportbikes rock! I am pretty taken with the M1100 Evo, or the Hypermotard 1100, or the new Speed Triple, or a Super Duke...

The 14's got 11000 miles. Im the second owner. Owned first by an old man. (prolly mid life crisis) lol. Bike is stock except red windscreen and fender eliminator.. Looks literally brand new. Tires have at least this summer and next summer left. Its a 2k7 (white wit red flames) stock paint... id probably ask $6800... like i said, bike looks and rides like BRAND NEW. new this bike booked for over 13k.
