  • 2nd Katana Project (opinion appriciated)

So I fell in love for the first time when I was 18... 1988 Suzuki Katana 600. I bought it not running a looking like crap turned it into this >>>>

    Well I've purchased this today>>>>

11,000 miles runs like a dream... nuff said

So far the plans are Exhaust and Paint. Now as for opinions I'm going to paint it myself and wondering what you Kat enthusiasts consider a good color scheme to go with. As of now I'm thinking go with the black & blue again. Let me know of any mods I may not know of and color schemes "You" think is bad ***.

I've always been a fan of bright white bikes but that's just me

Thanks guys. Any opinion on exhaust mods. Like the slash cut, I haven't looked into how to do it or anything yet I just know people do it on other bikes. Is it a good option for Kats?

Damn, that poor bike. Blinkers, mirrors seat..probably a fastener kit for the plastics. It looks pretty clapped out. Make sure you get brake fluid, fresh oil and filters in that thing as well as check the brake pads, valve clearances and drive chain stretch.

It'll be nice when you're done though.

So far I've finished the following.
              -Carbs
-Gas tank (was a little rusty)
              -Spark plugs
              -Oil
              -Mirrors
              -Flush mount blinkers
              -Healight
              -Front fender
              -Battery
              -Painted everything

I decided to get Midnight black and Some black vinyl paint for the seats. Looks amazing.

Tonight I have planned to do
-Mount all or the plastics and gas tank.
              -Brake fluid (check pads)
-Get some gas in and start her up
              -Tune carbs

After that I just need some tires and I'm going to paint the rims, I've been taking pics I'll upload then sometime soon.

Also forgot the chain for tonight as well. Then sometime soon get some bolts for mounting the plastics.
