      When it comes to cables, I always say go new. A used cable is used... and it might last a day, a week, or a month... but it's still got more wear than a new one

        Exactly what I was thinking... I didn't want it to be worn somewhere that I couldn't see, install it, and have it snap only a few thousand miles later... better to pay the extra $8-10 now and have a brand new cable...

            Finances are good for now.... I'm house hunting at the moment though, so every bit helps... so good looking out on the cheaper cable deal!

              So I got my choke cable in the mail and replaced it super easily. So much easier to replace than lubing up my clutch cable... lol

              Here is the aftermath of when I took the broken one out of the bike, it was rusted right through and just snapped:
