  • Thanks and a little help....

First, I would like to say thanks to all the helpful members that have added as much valuable information to this site as I have seen anywhere..
Secondly, to whoever it was that started it, props, even though I am still not sure who that was but I have only been here for a little while... plan to stay for a long while however...

That being said, I know that there is a requirement to post 50 times before one can ask for parts at the Wanted Section, I unfortunately am not a Forum Troll so I am lacking in posts..

Using information from this site, I finally got my 92Kat1100 purring again, have not heard that throttle respond as it did today for about 4 years, but that is when my oil cooler "repair" gave... I am in desperate need of a 1992 1100 oil cooler, what is currently on ebay seems shabby to say the least and was wondering if anyone here had one laying around, in decent shape, that would be willing to part from it, upon and agreeance in price of course... Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I did search in the sale section, but could not find one... Thanks in advance..TonyE.

Yeah, I know... lots of dough. I am taking it to a radiator repair shop tomorrow and give it a shot, if not, I will probably buy a high pressure oil cooler from Jegs and adopt it somehow. They have comparable sizes for a fifth the price, but would rather have the original equipment...

That will most probably be the way I'll go...trying ti Tig it this weekend but not holding my breath. I'll fab a mount and use an off the shelve one. Will probably build adapters so I can keep the original oil lines positions. I have found addecuate ones size wise but do not like the connectors. Probably an aviation N8 or N9 one I can tig the original "Nuts" from my oil cooler to so I can still mount it using the banjo bolts... I am so frustrated right now.... ARGHHHH...

Update... did a salvage parts search and found a Cooler, original, for $75 with guarantee coming to me out of California... Persistence paid off... I am still going to tig the original to keep in my parts bin...
