Idle varies from 1100 to 5000

So I have been riding a lot lately and my idle has gone wacko. It is now generally at about 3000 but sometimes will drop to 1100. any ideas.

3000 is very high, 1100 is just about where it should be.

Could be you need to clean the carbs...

clean ur carbs and hit the raod!!!

If you have fiddled with the throttle controls or cable, make sure you have enought free play in the cable, if not, when you turn the handlebars it could casue the idle to shoot up...
