So spring break is coming up, I'm planning on flying and working and working on the Kat.
Here's my plans for break:
-Replace cam chain tensioner (got a nice rattle coming from the engine right now)
-Replace hoses between tank and carbs and vacuum lines - they're getting worn
-Adjust valves (what adjustment does a 96 600 use, shim or other?)
-Install factory pro jet kit (maybe)
-Rip the rest of the plastics off and maybe do a fender eliminator
I think a week is enough time to do all this, if I can borrow a vehicle while my Kat is down
And this should hold me over for a while
Anyway, I have 2 weeks to go before break, so what should I do to prep for these jobs?
I know I need feeler gauges for the valve adjustment. Does the jet kit include all the rubber and stuff for inside the carbs or do I have to purchase that seperately, and where's a good place to order that?
And where's a good place to get appropriate hoses?
