  • Theoretically speaking, which would you get?

Totally hypothetically speaking, if you were struck by IRS-fuelled Sudden Motorcycle Acquisition Syndrome (SMAS) and found the following two bikes within your price range, which would you get and why?

1997 Bandit 1200S: 18,000 or so miles, Corbin seat, exhaust, Corbin seat, jet kit, Corbin seat, taller windshield... Asking price $2000.00

2001 Bandit 600S: 10,000 or so miles, needs new front tire and new battery. Asking price $2200.00

    All, absolutely theoretical of course...

And of course, the person theoretically buying this bike would most likely keep the 1993 Katana 600 they already hypothetically own...

The Bandit 600 rides like the Kat 600. If ya want a 600... buy the 1200 and swap the motors on the bikes.

I have embarked on the road of modding. Even if you BOLT ON new parts to a bike, there will be someone somewhere that has the same combination. With the Kat, you have a unique platform. Sure, some parts might be from other bikes, but no one will have the same combination. It will be truly yours and unique.

Depends... does the B12 have a Corbin seat?
