  • Side-car

    Hey;
    I have a couple of pre-kats.
I have a friend that wants to ride in a side-car.

    Has anyone done it?
    Any links or plans?

    Thanks
    Mick M.

There is more to side cars than building them.
Generally you either rake out the front or fit a "leeds" style front end.
a general interweb search should get you started..

I've seen them on busa's, so it's not far fetched by any means...

Sidecars are fun, different operation than regular two-wheel motorcycles.

What kind of sidecar do you have in mind?

Many, many moons ago in UK I had a BSA,and before that a Triumph with a chairs on them.It was great fun in the wet beating the cafe racers on solos from cafe to cafe.In the winter I would find a quiet stretch of country road and practice sliding and drifting the outfit around in the snow. The trumpet had a Garrard GP chair and the BSA a WATSONIAN MONZA on it.

Not having much luck finding info.
Lots of old blurry photos, and stories.
No plans or blueprints, just ads.
                  This site is interesting:

Probably have better luck asking here:

Blueprints or plans are difficult to come by, I doubt most sidecar owners keep them ready to share online.

I found a thread in this forum about sidecars from a few months ago... and some pics:

sounds cool but I wouldn't ride in one, but I would probably put my dog in on if it was fully inclosed.
