Replacement lower triple?

My 01 Kat has a bent lower triple. I discovered when I replaced the forks and they wouldn't go into the upper and lower tree... I'm just wondering if anyone knows if I can use a 2006 lower triple as a replacement.?

I think they have different part numbers. But that doesn't mean it won't swap.

any advice would be helpful.

03 + were wider so they can't be used with changing other things.

only the 98-02 lower triple will work.
The 89-97 Lower triple is narrower than the 98-02, and the 98-02 is narrower than the 03-06.
