um... WTF are u trying to say?
some thing about a jet kit on a kat 98-05 and 93-97 right?
The differences that i know about is that the 98+ kats have a Throttle Position Sensor (tps) now as far as size & shape .... i have no idea....

K&N is a horrible thing to put on a katana. it will ruin your throttle response and make a dead spot in your power band. DONT DO IT.... K&N = BAD!!!
Please, Just go home, relax, and have a think or two... hell... have as many as you can handle! It'll do all of us some good.

I think I understand enough to answer. No, a jet kit for a 93-97 will not work in your bike. You need one that covers your year bike. The carburetors changed more than just the TPS. The kit will not work for you.

You need 98+ carbs on a 98+ bike as the CDI requires TPS input.

It *is* possible to interchange carbs between the years, but I wouldn't swap carbs just for a jet kit.

          Buy the correct kit.

Buy a Factory Pro or Ivan's jet kit and keep the stock air box and filter. Throw on a 5* ignition advancer while you're at it.
