  • layed down the bike for the first time

well i was on the highway goin 75ish and some ****er didn't see me and pushed me off of the side and i hit a small pot hole and the bike went down and so did i. damage to the bike was i'll need a new brake light, left handle bar unless i can bend it back, i'll repair the plastics, bend back the exhaust, and w/e. i should have taken a pic before i took it apart but i didn't. also i tried to start her up when i got her home and the starter wouldn't work. I've searched this site for a repair manual for the pre98s but none of the links worked on any of them. anybody have a good link? i could really use some diagrams for the starter so i can troubleshoot. maybe now will be a good time to replace the engine and do that tail swap i've always wanted to do...

Glad to hear you're ok. My first ride of the year was today, and I got cut off by some guy who wanted to merge into my lane. Stupidity abounds..... and seems to reproduce. What irritates me worse is people who text message while driving. Let's be careful out there guys and gals.
sigpicLife throws you curves......enjoy the ones you get when riding.

Sorry to hear you went down. I did myself the other day as well.
Rest up, heal up, and then get back on 2 wheels!
